Inauguration of the new headquarters of the Dallara Foundation, designed by Femia

nuova sede fondazione dallara

A place deeply rooted in the community came to life in Italy: it’s the new headquarters of the Dallara Foundation, officially inaugurated with a double event – an institutional ceremony and a public party – that involved citizens, bishop Enrico Solmi, the authorities, and associations and businesses.

Established by the Dallara family in 2021, the Foundation carries on the memory and energy of Caterina Dallara, a key figure in the company’s international growth. Her free, curious and generous spirit lives on today in a project that aims to generate cohesion, collective growth, promote the territory and fight inequality through concrete initiatives, built through listening and dialogue with the Val Ceno community.

The new space represents the physical and symbolic heart of this mission: a multifunctional and dynamic environment, designed by Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia in collaboration with Incide Engineering of Padua, which directed the executive design of the mechanical, electrical and fire-fighting systems, also taking care of the structural engineering. The steel structures, most of which are visible, express both functionality and aesthetics. The technological systems, of the latest generation and with low environmental impact, are designed to guarantee optimal comfort, reflecting the vision of hospitality and innovation that the building wants to convey. Fire prevention has also been addressed with careful consideration of the changing uses and flexible configuration of the rooms, ensuring high standards.

«We wanted the Foundation’s headquarters to be beautiful, welcoming and not imposing,’ said Giampaolo Dallara, President of the Foundation, “a place capable of stimulating the desire to meet and recognise oneself. It is time to give something back to the territory, to start a path to make it an ideal place where young people can grow well and the elderly can live well».

The building, which stands out for its contemporary and harmonious architectural language, designed to dialogue with the green landscape and the soft contours of the hills, was in fact created as a dynamic infrastructure: it has already been in a shared experimentation phase for a few weeks, during which spaces and methods of use have been tested. The aim is “not to be the protagonists, but to network with what already exists in the area, to connect the dots, to facilitate ideas and realisations,” explains Angelica Dallara, vice-president of the Foundation.

Now that the ribbon-cutting ceremony has taken place, the building is ready to become a landmark for the present and future of the territory.

With this project, Incide Engineering confirms its ongoing commitment to the development of public and cultural spaces that put people at the centre, interpreting technology also as a tool for creating social, environmental and relational value.
