The project consisted in the enlargement of an industrial complex called the “Jebel Ali Power and Desalination Station”, owned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority near Dubai City.
The project regarded boilers with ancillary structures such as airducts, stairs, platforms, 75 metre cimney stacks and a degassing plant).
In particular, Incide Engineering fully developed the design of the power plant's airducts in compliance with the BS 5950 standard.
An FEM model was developed as the general methodology for sizing.
Detailed F.E. modelling was employed to carry out the analyses for the design of the reinforcements of the sheet metal and to check important connection nodes.
