VTB Arena Stadium

Incide provided services for the final development of the roofing and facade of the VTB arena stadium in Moscow.
It was necessary to use B.I.M. and parametric modelling to manage the complexity of the shape and the geometry of the elements that make up the coating and to optimize the timing.
The stadium roof has an organic shape and is composed of polycarbonate panels supported by a metal substructure formed by a series of elements of different lengths called "polibars".
After, with the help of software (Rhinoceros and Grasshopper), the number and position of the points on the façade were identified and by interpolating them with specific constraints and classes, an optimized layout for the "polibars" was defined.
The best length of each "polibar" element was identified in accordance with the architectural and structural requirements. The polibars of the same length were then grouped into families to optimize production.
