BIM for the facilities of the Galfa Tower in Milan.

Incide Engineering was contracted by Cefla Engineering (contractor of the plant works) for the executive design of the electrical and mechanical systems, through the use of BIM methodologies (using Revit software). Gianluca Vallerini, CEO of Incide Engineering, explained at the third edition of the Seismic Academy, a national event promoted by Hilti Italia dedicated to innovation and safety in the anti-seismic field, the advantages of using BIM for design, illustrating the virtuous example of the renovation of the Torre Galfa skyscraper in Milan. The client Unipol Assicurazioni specifically requested this methodology in order to receive an information model to be used in subsequent building management phases. The facilities project was particularly challenging due to the type of building, its multifunctional use, and the limited space available, which were resolved by the use of BIM design.
