Incide was commissioned to design the CRB-11 bridge included in the Al Raha Beach project in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.
The bridge has a total span of 83.6m with 3 spans of about 20m and a total width of 29.4m necessary to accommodate 4 lanes, 2 docks, 2 sidewalks and the central compartment for the pipes.
The supporting structure of the single deck consists in 2 pairs of lowered circular steel arches; the arches support a set of drains, which in turn support the upper current. The reinforced concrete slab rests on the upper currents of the arches and on transoms of decreasing height.
