Humanity Bridge is an innovative bridge design developed by Incide Engineering for the city of Čeljabinsk, Russia. The project creates a new multimodal connection across the river, integrating four road lanes, bidirectional tram tracks, and protected pedestrian paths within a single, efficient infrastructure.
The entire concept was developed using advanced parametric modelling, enabling full control of complex geometries, structural optimization, and streamlined fabrication workflows. The signature feature of the bridge is a pair of intertwined steel arches with variable cross-sections, forming a dynamic architectural landmark visible from the surrounding urban landscape. These arches support the deck through high-strength steel strands, ensuring excellent stability and a lightweight structural expression.
The deck structure combines steel girders and a composite concrete slab, designed to minimize construction time and improve long-term performance. Integrated lighting enhances both safety and aesthetics, turning the bridge into a recognizable urban landmark day and night.
