Port of Mantua-Valdaro Logistics Warehouse Extension | Italy

Incide Engineering developed the multidisciplinary Technical and Economic Feasibility Design (PFTE) for the extension of a logistics warehouse previously designed by the firm at the Port of Mantua-Valdaro, a trimodal logistics hub integrating road, rail and inland waterway transport along the Mantua-Adriatic waterway. The project adds a new 27 × 120 m steel-framed logistics warehouse bay with an internal clear height of up to 15 m. Designed for storage and future use as a locomotive maintenance facility, the rail-served building is connected to new internal and external railway tracks. The scheme also includes a two-storey office building and perimeter access roads. The integrated PFTE coordinates architecture, structural and civil engineering, mechanical and electrical (MEP) engineering, fire protection, acoustics, geology and compliance with Italy’s Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) for buildings. The project expands storage capacity and strengthens freight logistics at the Mantua inland port, within the new Lombardy Simplified Logistics Zone (ZLS)."
