Redevelopment of Ferrara’s San Luca Airport

aeroporto san luca ferrara

Incide Engineering, in collaboration with SICEA srl, won the tender called by the Municipality of Ferrara for the upgrading of Ferrara San Luca Airport.
In particular, Incide will be in charge of the executive design and health and safety coordination during the design and execution phases of the upgrading works at the San Luca Airport.

The project aims to upgrade and adapt the existing sports facilities and airport logistics works, following the technical and economic feasibility project that was put out to tender.
The intervention aims to modernise the entire airport, making it safer, more efficient and more accessible. The project will be divided into two main areas of intervention: the North Zone and the South Zone.

Construction of a hangar and state-of-the-art spaces in the North Zone

In this area, where the Aero Club Volo a Motori ‘R. Fabbri’, the Associazione Nazionale Paracadutisti and the maintenance company Master Aviation Srl are located, the works mainly involve the total reconstruction of the existing buildings. In particular, a new Hangar Workshop 1 will be built and the current workshop will be moved to the new Avio workshop, equipped with an annexed technical block located in the eastern part of the area.
These interventions will guarantee adequate space and state-of-the-art facilities, increasing the efficiency and safety of the activities carried out in this area.

Reorganisation and improvement works for the South Zone

The South Zone, dedicated to flight infrastructure, will see the focus on reception and the elimination of architectural barriers. The work will include bringing the Aeroclub Headquarters and Restaurant up to standard, reorganising Hangar Romney, and refurbishing Hangar Traini. In addition, an equipped area will be reorganised for the temporary parking of camper vans, intended for Aeroclub users and those taking part in the association’s educational and sports activities.

The aim is to improve accessibility and encourage greater involvement of the area in aviation activities and leisure time.

A project for the future of Ferrara Airport
