The Magna Grecia tennis centre in Taranto on TSport

The redevelopment project for the Magna Grecia Tennis Centre in Taranto, in which Incide Engineering is participating as the system design management, was recently featured in the bimonthly magazine TSport (no. 364), a bilingual publication providing technical and social information on sports and recreational facilities, which constantly offers its readers accurate and up-to-date information on projects and achievements.

As reported by the online and print magazine, the new centre will be built in view of the 20th edition of the Mediterranean Games in 2026 and will subsequently be used as a multi-purpose sports centre serving the neighbourhood. TSport emphasises that the project is not limited to the functional adaptation of the facility, but also aims at the urban and social regeneration of the area, restoring green spaces and accessible services to the community.

As the leader of the design team, Incide Engineering is contributing advanced system design, ensuring sustainable and innovative technological solutions. The project, with a total cost of €7.27 million, involves the construction of eight regulation tennis courts, artificial lighting, stands for 1,000 and 500 spectators, and a new “club house” service building inspired by Mediterranean architecture.

TSport: ‘The new tennis centre is part of a wider plan to modernise Taranto’s sports facilities, becoming a landmark for the entire region.’

Thanks to the experience gained in major sports projects, including the CONI Sports Hall in Rome, Incide confirms its role as a technical partner of excellence in the construction of international-level sports infrastructure.
