Incide Engineering, as principal, has been awarded the Engineering and Architecture Services Contract for the project ‘Adaptation and redevelopment of the “Magna Grecia” tennis sports centre in Taranto (Italy), in view of the XX Edition of the Mediterranean Games 2026. This is a major international event, aimed at relaunching Taranto as a centre of sports excellence, reconnecting with its historical tradition in the field.
The total amount of the project is € 7,274,000.00, and the intervention includes the construction of 8 regulation tennis courts, artificially lit, with a central grandstand for 1,000 spectators and other stands for 500 spectators.
The design group awarded the contract is an RTP that includes three leading companies in the sports infrastructure sector: the mandated group leader is Studio di Architettura Paolo Pettene & Partners STP, which is responsible for the architecture; Bolina Ingegneria is in charge of the structures; while Incide Engineering is responsible for the plant design, with Eng. Gianluca Vallerini as Manager.
Incide Engineering has gained solid experience in the sports infrastructure sector, as demonstrated by the CONI Palazzetto dello Sport in Rome and other international projects. This experience has allowed it to be an integral part of a highly qualified team, strengthening its position as a point of reference in the design of advanced technological systems for large public works in the Sport & Entertainment sector.
