Linate Prime Terminal Expansion – Milan | Italy

The project involved the upgrade of Hangar 1 at Milan Linate Airport and the subsequent expansion of the Milano Linate Prime terminal, transforming the existing hangar into a new extension dedicated to general and business aviation. The intervention increased the terminal area by approximately 2,000 sqm, including lounges, passenger services, technical and distribution areas, enhancing the building’s identity, functionality and spatial quality.
Incide Engineering delivered integrated structural and MEP engineering design, including the introduction of new steel structures and the full implementation of mechanical, electrical and special systems.
The design approach prioritised environmental sustainability and energy efficiency through high-performance building systems, including heat pumps, air handling units with heat recovery, CO₂ monitoring systems, provisions for a Building Management System (BMS), energy metering and photovoltaic systems integration. The result is a premium, efficient and sustainable airport infrastructure.
