An international industry roundtable on regeneration and justice at Perspective Europe 2026

perspective 2026 the plan

Rome, May 2026. Incide Engineering participated in the 17th edition of Perspective, the international forum dedicated to architecture, interior design, real estate, and contract design organized by THE PLAN in Rome at the Sheraton Parco De’ Medici Hotel. For the first time, the Rome edition combined the Perspective Europe and Perspective Smart City formats into a single three-day event: a sign of the direction the sector is taking, where urban regeneration and technological innovation are no longer separate paths.

High-Level Dialogue on Urban Regeneration as a Tool for Social Justice

With more than a thousand one-on-one meetings and over 50 workshops, panel discussions, and plenary sessions, Perspective 2026 brought together design firms, builders, contractors, developers, real estate operators, and—for the first time—representatives of the public sector. This broader audience reflects the growing complexity of urban transformation processes, in which public and private decisions are becoming increasingly intertwined.

Among the forum’s central themes: social housing, functional mixité, smart mobility, metropolitan digitalization, energy efficiency and building sustainability, and the attractiveness of private investment. A program that spoke directly to the professionals who face these operational challenges every day.

The overarching theme of this edition was regeneration as a tool for social, spatial, and economic justice. The opening session, “Rome is Renewing Itself, Italy is Growing,” sparked a substantive debate on how the capital is evolving toward a polycentric and connected model, with governance capable of attracting private capital alongside public funds from the PNRR and the Jubilee.

From the stage, institutions such as CDP, BNL BNP Paribas, ANCE Roma, and Tor Vergata University shared strategies and figures: an ecosystem of stakeholders confirming that real estate and contract work are now at the heart of a process of structural revitalization of the region.

The value of being present at the discussion table

Participating in Perspective means being part of a selective network, where relationships are built over time and projects take shape through direct dialogue. For Incide, each edition represents an opportunity for active listening: understanding where the market is heading, what trends are emerging, and what needs clients have not yet articulated.

Perspective 2026 confirmed that the future of the AEC sector is built on the quality of relationships and the willingness to look beyond individual projects. For this reason, integrated engineering—which accompanies a project from the conceptual phase through to delivery—finds in these contexts the ideal ground for discovering and establishing new partnerships that are both competent and virtuous.

Rome, with its contradictions and extraordinary potential, was the perfect setting to remind us of this.
