The Magnolia Theatre is undergoing a major change as it has been completely redesigned by Incide Engineering with a new look and multiple uses.

The building site is already at work and in January 2025 the roof was completed, consisting of 4 thousand pieces, numbered one by one and all different. It has been designed with a sinuous shape – a cloud – to recall the Euganean hilly landscape. It will be served by a bar and complemented by changing rooms and storerooms.

This occasion was taken up by Il Gazzettino, a well-known Italian newspaper:

The new multifunctional structure ‘Pala Magnolia’ will be built by the summer within the Thermal Urban Park with a total investment of over 3 million euro, one third of which will be financed by the PNRR.

The project envisages the construction of a modern multifunctional plate, where the Magnolia Theatre will blend harmoniously with the park, enhancing its enjoyment. The complex will be characterised by plays of light that will highlight each architectural element, while the sinuous semi-transparent membrane that has just been created will confer a sense of lightness and continuity.

Green areas will extend into the covered spaces, while water will become a central element, creating a strong visual and functional link between the park and the heart of the spa town.

The structure is designed to host shows of various kinds and will provide an opportunity for both the citizens of Abano and hotel guests to attend all the major events that will be organised in the city. It’s a functional building of the latest generation, innovative and in step with the times.

Special attention has also been paid to hydraulic safety, with lamination spaces totalling 400 cubic metres.
