INCIDE Engineering achieves Gender Equality Certification

certificazione parità di genere ingegneria

INCIDE Engineering obtained the gender equality certification, confirming the validity of its strategy to guarantee the promotion and protection of equal opportunities in the workplace in a challenging sector such as engineering in Italy.

The assessment was carried out through an audit by TÜV Italia, a body accredited by Accredia, the Single National Accreditation Body appointed by the Italian government to certify the competence, independence and impartiality of certification and verification bodies.

The award, valid for three years and subject to annual monitoring, certifies that the company complies with the requirements defined for a truly inclusive system that respects gender diversity in the workplace based on measurable data and targets. In particular, the assessment process covered the satisfaction of qualitative and quantitative KPIs and interviews with employees against six key indicators: HR processes of selection and recruitment, career management and growth opportunities, pay equity, parental protection, work-life balance and prevention of abuse and harassment.

For the company, which oversees complex projects in more than 30 countries, this is a milestone and a demonstration of its commitment to inclusion and quality management. The certification follows several other certifications that INCIDE has obtained concerning the reliability and efficiency of its work processes, environmental management and occupational health and safety (UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018).

The achievement of this qualification testifies to the important steps forward in the area of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, carried out in accordance with the company’s strategies and growth objectives through training programmes dedicated to changing the corporate culture and through concrete actions; Initiatives include a Zero Tolerance Plan with respect to harassment and violence of all forms, awareness-raising on bias and stereotypes, inclusive leadership, neutral recruitment and fair remuneration practices, programmes to support people in their parenting and caregiver activities, and striving for gender balance in top positions.

«This achievement represents the culmination of a path started years ago that confirms how gender equality is a value deeply rooted in our corporate culture» said Giampaolo Vallerini, Quality & Safety Manager. «At INCIDE Engineering we believe in the potential of each individual and we have always been committed to enhancing talents and diversity in all their forms, certain that this is the only way we can generate real value for the whole organisation».
