Bridge of val d'Arve

PAP architects proposed the closure of this new railway crossing of the Arve river in Geneva by means of glazed facades whose main function is the reduction of noise pollution into the environment. The transparency of the facades also makes it possible to lighten the massive structure and contribute to its inclusion on the site.
Incide Engineering carried out the calculation and dimensioning of structures and glass facade claddings. The connections between the main structure, the secondary structure and the glass cladding were studied, in relation to the specific situation due to the vibrations caused by the passage of trains and the environmental requirements.
A detailed sequence for handling and assembly of the parts was also provided.
